Kings Earn Convincing 118-90 Victory to Secure Playoff Berth
The Sacramento Kings put on a shooting clinic against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, winning 118-90 in a dominant performance. The Kings connected on a remarkable 55.6% of their field-goal attempts, including 13-of-34 from beyond the arc.
Gary Payton II led the way for the Kings with 25 points, followed by Pat Spencer with 17 points, Jerome Robinson with 16 points, and Malik Monk with 15 points. Jordan Ford, Jalen Slawson, Kevin Huerter, and Mason Jones also contributed to the Kings' scoring effort.
The Warriors, who were playing without their star player Stephen Curry, struggled to keep up with the Kings' hot shooting. Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 20 points, but the rest of the team combined to shoot just 36.4% from the field.
The Kings' victory secures their spot in the playoffs, while the Warriors' loss drops them to 10th place in the Western Conference.
The two teams will meet again on April 20th in Sacramento.
