Winter Bob Graham Record

Davis Breaks Women's Winter Bob Graham Record

Eleanor Elsey Davis Sets New Fastest Time

Sub-21 Hour Mark Achieved

British fell runner Eleanor Elsey Davis has broken the women's record on the Bob Graham Round, a challenging 42-mile trail in the Lake District. On January 6th, Davis completed the classic trail in 20 hours and 21 minutes, beating the previous women's record by nearly an hour.

The Bob Graham Round is a grueling test piece that involves climbing 27 peaks over 2,500 feet in elevation. Davis's time is the second-fastest overall on the round, regardless of gender, and only 22 minutes off the men's record set by Billy Bland in 2017.

Davis's achievement is all the more impressive considering the challenging winter conditions she faced, including snow, ice, and high winds. She is the first woman to complete the winter round in under 21 hours.

The Bob Graham Round was first completed in 1932 by Bob Graham, and has since become a rite of passage for fell runners. The fastest time for a winter round is currently held by Kim Collison, who completed it in 15 hours and 47 minutes in 2019.
